NEVOA’s new collection: reinventing elegance.

Nevoa is an ‘old’ love. It was the first Portuguese Brand I visited, when this blog was just a seminal idea. I liked so much to meet Mariana, to see her creations and discuss about her project, that I decided I wanted to do more of it.

When we met in summer, Mariana told me she was working on a new collection. I remember to hope she would manage to keep true to the quiet elegance emanating from her pieces, as she made her move into new formats and colours.

The collection is now out and it is called ‘Be Beyond’. It reinvents the elegance so true to Nevoa’s spirit. A quiet elegance that does not impose itself and is intemporal.

Autumnal Portuguese Homeware

Autumn has settled and Halloween mood was at its strongest in the beginning of the month. I could not resist to do a little round up of Spooky Homeware in Facebook and Instagram. Look for #spookyportuguesehomeware in case you missed it. I picked up some old favourites as the Naughty Crow from Laboratório d’Estórias, but also a surreal tile from Surrealejos and the figurative ceramics of Bordalo Pinheiro.

As Autumn settles in and the cold, rainy weather slowly arrives, I started dreaming about nesting in my sofa. Although in reality I seldom get the chance to do it, I cannot stop thinking about warm blankets, a nice cup of tea and a good book.
