Hello,

My name is Alexandra. I was born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. A city known for its ceramics tradition. It took me many years to give value to this tradition. Maybe it was a question of age… or the lack of it…

A decade ago, work made me move to Switzerland. Ten years is a long time. It allowed me to grow. As I grew, I started appreciating more and more objects, meaningful,  beautifully designed and beautifully made. I also started missing my country, its craftsmanship, the old brands and the new designers I started following from far away.

This blog is a wish to show up those portuguese homeware brands and products I cherish and love. This is a very personal project.  At the end I would like to achieve a sort of list, meeting point of all those brands, creators and creations so difficult to find under the same roof. I hope this can be a meeting point for like-minded people. I hope through this blog to show the craftsmanship, the quality of materials, the beauty and functionality of portuguese homeware.
